The tournament took place in Indianapolis, Indiana with competing teams Minnesota Golden Gophers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Kentucky Wildcats, and Arizona Wildcats. Arizona won their 1st national championship, defeating Kentucky in overtime with an 84 - 79 victory.
